Buick Riviera Burnout
My 1971 Buick Riviera does a 100 foot burnout. This is a 4500 lb. luxury car
with a mild 455 (7.5 Liter) V8 and automatic transmission. Behold the power of
the the Buick Big Block
1968 AMC AMX Burnout
My 68 AMX at a friends AMC car party. I took it easy on the tires because they

Buick Riviera Burnout 2
This is my second video of burnouts from way back in 2002. I left it in drive in
this one and power braked it. You can hear the engine lazily shift into second,
I guess a full throttle burnout against full braking force isn't enough load to
warrant first gear when you have 500lbs of torque!
Dave's Smokey Burnout Compilation
Sort of a Greatest Hits collection of all the tire smoking video I have (so far)
of my 540 powered 1970 Corvette Stingray and my 540 powered 1969 Camaro SS. This
one is just for fun - not a single piece of technical information in this video.
I hope you enjoy it.
Dave's First 930hp 1969 Camaro Smokey Burnout
I took 3 cameras and shot 3 different angles of the same brake stand in my 930hp
69 Camaro. Second gear, 6800RPM , on the rev limiter and the line lock. Speedo
is reading 80mph. The burn out is 500 to 600 feet long. I know brake stands are
for sissy's, but they seem to be very popular on YouTube and I do have a line
lock, so what the hell. It's only one brake stand. Notice how the car simply
dissappears at 1:00 just like a magic act? Maybe its cause I'm running a
Merlin... 3 May 2009: I no longer like the way the 3 videos are edited together
- too engineering like (wonder why...?) and not movie-ish enough. I'm working on
a different version, same burnout, different look. Watch for it. BTW, I do not
mean the Kirbee Burnout version - that was a joint project with one of my kids.
3 May 2009: New version posted. Check out "Dave's Second 1969 Camaro Smokey
Burnout" at www.youtube.com Tell which video you like better.
