1970 Buick GSX STK # 1035
1970 Buick GSX rare and fast. American muscle car, one of only 678 built, is
numbers matching, and fully documented with the National GSX Historical Society
and build sheet. One of 187 GSXs in Apollo White, this car was the 108th GSX
produced in 1970. The complete frame-off restoration has brought this beauty
back to its original glory with a mint repaint, rebuilt 455 V8, and correct
black vinyl interior with bucket seats. Options include distinctive GSX hood
with functional scoops, painted body stripes, front and rear spoiler,
color-coordinated headlamp bezels, outside right and left color-coordinated
racing mirrors, hood tachometer, TH400 turbo transmission with Hurst shifter,
power disc brakes, WG Buick wheels, performance axle with posi-traction 3.42
ratio, Rally Ride Control Package (featuring rear stabilizer bar, front and rear
firm ride springs, and rear lower control arm assembly), instrument gauges and
Rally clock, Rally steering wheel, quick ratio power steering, air conditioning,
and soft-ray tinted glass. This hard to find example is top dog in the muscle
car market, and is a highly desired collectable. This GSX will not disappoint.

1969 Chevrolet Nova Z/28
Super Chevy Magazine A world of "what ifs" gathered and swirled in Steve
Strope's gray matter, much like a summer storm moving in from the horizon.
Strope, a restoration specialist and purveyor of custom automobiles, and Gary
Gagliardi, an avid collector of American muscle cars, were planning a project.
At first, the car you see on these pages was going to be a '70s-vintage Buick
Apollo with a full-bore, Dutweiler-built Grand National turbo V-6. Somewhere
along the line, that plan fell through. The world of "what if" is a far more
interesting place to explore, as in: "What if Chevrolet had offered the Z/28
option on the Nova?" This became a recurring theme with Strope. Never being
satisfied with the "what if" factor, he quickly shifted into the realm of "why
not?" Why not build a 1969 Z/28 and put "the what ifs" to bed? The car would
sport many first-gen Camaro Z/28 features-cross-ram, dual-quad intake, rear
spoiler, houndstooth interior with console-mounted gauges. However, the
suspension and brakes would be grounded in the 21st century and the powerplant
would make more power than the factory 302 ever dreamed of. Starting from the
ground up, the Nova's subframe was worked over like one of Tony Soprano's
victims. The original suspension was given a pair of cement shoes, then
deep-sixed. In its place went an infinitely more capable Global West G-Plus
system of upper and lower tubular A-arms, coilover springs and shocks, 1-inch
sway bar, subframe connectors and body mounts ...

Documented by the GSX Historic Society as build number 622 of 678, this GSX
Stage 1 was a concours gold winner at both the GS Nationals and the Performance
Buick Groups nationals in 2010. It is one of only 178 Apollo White cars ever
produced and has been frame-off rotisserie restored by Then and Now Automotive
It features a high quality black vinyl interior and the original numbers
matching 455 big block V8. This beauty was up fitted from the factory with the
Stage 1 performance package and is one of only 188 factory 4-speed equipped
cars. Along with that numbers matching transmission, you'll find a numbers
matching 3.64 rear end and Buick's Rallye Ride Control suspension upgrade. At
the corners, you'll find factory power assisted disc brakes in front and factory
power assisted drum brakes at the rear.
