*SOLD* 1961 Chevrolet Biscayne completely custom w/ 454CI 4bbl
1961 Chevrolet Biscayne that is completely custom and has over $100000 invested
in it! This Biscayne has custom work all over the body, custom paint, custom

a custom breather, aluminum valve covers, Bullit wiring loom, Holley 4 barrel

burnout because it is so much fun! It 'smokes' the tires all through first gear
with the tachometer reading 6400 RPM from the moment I 'dump' the clutch.
Subsequent 'runs' would hook up better after the MT Drag Radials heat up. But by
then I'm afraid the cops might be on the way, so it's time to do one burnout and
'get the heck out of Dodge'!!

This 1965 Chevrolet Biscayne is the textbook definition of "sleeper." We've had
other cars that certainly fit the bill, but none as single-mindedly dedicated to
the art of deception and speed as this one. With that unsuspecting 2-door sedan
body style, a bench seat, and even whitewall tires on steel wheels, this car is
so low-profile that it's practically invisible. Even sweeter, it's a factory
radio and heater delete piece, so the stage was already set when the restoration
began in January 2006. Already a clean, western car, the restoration has taken
it to just the right level to keep it low profile. Those massive quarter panels
are so straight they look like they just popped out of the stamping press, gaps
are about how the factory did it, and they got the doors to fit so well that
they latch with your fingertip. The finish is two-stage urethane, so it'll look
this good practically forever, and the finish is more than equal to the original
"Magic Mirror" acrylic lacquer used in '65. The only tip of the hand anywhere on
the car are those 396 badges, but by the time you're close enough to read them
it's already too late. The car was originally delivered with a six-cylinder
engine, so matching numbers and all that nonsense is out the window anyway, and
today it features a beautifully detailed 454 cranking out a conservatively
estimated 500 horsepower. It is also nicely detailed with Chevy Orange paint on
the block, heads, and valve covers, and a proper decal on the chrome ...

Equipped with a powerful big block motor and some of the best styling to ever
come out of General Motors, this super cool 1961 Biscayne cruiser is an
incredible amount of car for a relatively small amount of money. Covered in GM
code 912 Jewel Blue and topped with a correct GM code 959 white roof, this cars
incredibly straight body still hangs all of its original body panels with the
exception of weight reducing fiberglass front fenders. Those panels feature
better than factory alignment and the cars paint, which has been wet sanded and
polished to a perfect shine, displays no visible defects. The combination of
excellent panel alignment and Kansas flat body panels suggest that this Biscayne
was completely disassembled during its recent restoration and that many labor
intensive hours were likely spent making sure it received top notch finish work.
All that time and hard work paid off handsomely because it's one of the finest
old school Chevrolets I've seen in a very long time. Mechanically, this Biscayne
is all business. Under the hood you'll find a newly rebuilt 396 cubic inch V8
that has been bored .030 over to 402 cubic inches of fire breathing power.
Factory rated at 375 horsepower it has no problem carrying this relatively light
Chevy down the road just as fast as you want to go. At the top of the engine, a
correct dual snorkel air cleaner wears a chrome lid, smooth satin black paint
