One sweet little ride.....Local customer stopped by today on his first run this
year in his `48 Ford Anglia..Interesting car...Made in England by Ford. But
thats where the Ford BS ends..its SB chev under the hood in the form of a 350 w
high rise intake, Cam,Headers and super short flowmaster exhaust...sounds like a
Big block IRL. Nice job Wayne!!

Warley Enthusiasts' Day
Last week's Enthusiasts' Day at Warley was a real treat for all motoring fans,
with a broad cross-section of vintage and classic vehicles on display. There was
something for everyone, from a vintage Bentley to a Mustang muscle car. One of
the most popular exhibits was a 1964 Ford Anglia. The car has just returned from
a 3000 mile trip to Italy to raise money for charity. That is not its first
long-distance run. Two years ago to drove 2000 miles from Trafalgar Square in
London to Red Square in Moscow, raising funds for a motor industry charity.

large engines modified for linear speed. The origin of the term "hot rod" is
unclear. One explanation is that the term is a contraction of "hot roadster,"
meaning a roadster that was modified for speed. Roadsters were the cars of
choice because they were light. The term became commonplace in the 1930s or
1940s as the name of a car that had been "hopped up" by modifying the engine in
various ways to achieve higher performance. The term can also apply to other
items that are "souped up" for a particular purpose, such as "hot-rodded

car clubs and artists who have returned to the roots of hot rodding as a
