Mercury Cyclone Muscle Car Videos

1969 Mercury Cyclone.
Showin off my dads 69 Dan Gurney Special.

Journey to the Cyclone
My friend and I took a road trip to Canby, Minnesota, so he could pick up a 1970
Mercury Cyclone. These are some snippets from the trip.

1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler
Here is a sweet ride. Check out the old school Muscle!! Had it since 1978 and
bought it for $900! This is all stock. Just like it came from the showroom
floor....

1970 MERCURY CYCLONE 429 CJ SPOILER FOR SALE UPDATE SOLD!!!!
This is a very very rare 1970 Mercury Cyclone 429 CJ Spoiler. This was purchased
new at johnny Hass motors in lakewood, colorodo, 80215 on 10/19/1970 a full year
after it was built 10/20/1969. It stayed in Colorodo until 2006 when it came to
Pa. this is why it has a rust free body and all original sheetmetal. These were
built for 2 years 1970 and 71. There was only 1631 of these made in 1970, how
many are left today? This was Mercury's version of the muscle car and what a car
it is. It came factory with a 429 Cobra Jet motor rated at 370 Hp but we all
know it was more like 425 Hp in reality as well as a factory ram air insuction
hood and air cleaner. This is a super solid original car. The engine is matching
numbers but the tranny is not. This had a C-6 auto from the factory but was
changed a couple of years ago with all the correct 4-speed equipment from
another 1970 spoiler SCJ so it has all the correct parts. The car still has all
of it's original sheetmetal. All the trim and bumpers are perfect and beautiful.
The interior is all original and near like new condition. The dash is %100 and
has NO crack which is very rare being as the shape of the dash made them prone
to cracks. This is a factory grabber green car with only one repaint and a very
nice jog it is. It had the correct side decals as well as the original front and
rear spoilers. All the gauges work great as well as everyhting else. This was a
true console car as well ans still has the original rims which are ...

1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II Dan Gurney Special
The Cyclone Spoiler II design featured a stretched, tapered nose and
flush-mounted grille. It also had re-rolled rocker panels that allowed the car
to be lowered without violating NASCAR's ride-height requirements. Two trim
packages were available: the Dan Gurney Special in Wimbledon White and
Presidential Blue and the Cale Yarborough Specials (as seen on this car) in
Candy Apple Red over Wimbledon White. Both were named after Mercury's best
NASCAR drivers of the time.

1969 Mercury Cyclone CJ
Practically impossible to capture in pictures, this is a real one of a kind
collectible. According to the seller, of the 117421 1969 Montegos and
Cyclones... 6968 were Cyclone Fastbacks, 260 were built with 428-4v CJ engine,
152 came with automatic transmission, 14 of those had 428 Super Cobra Jet
engines, 1 of them was painted in white, and this is that Cyclone. vin number
9H15R607753. More details at www.cartype.com

1970 Mercury Cyclone GT
I just got it today (5/7/2011)! It's bone stock except for the Exhaust system.
It has a 351 Cleveland 2V engine. I'll be putting a 4 barrel, and maybe a new
cam in it, but I'll leave it mostly stock. I may post a cruising video later.
After I get a tag, and a few minor kinks worked out. It was a bit too loud for
the camera.
