1992 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight - Class: Upscale - Near Luxury
Owners: 2 - I purchased it in 2000.
Top features include cruise control, tilt steering wheel, a front bench seat, automatic temperature control, rear window defroster, power external mirrors, and power windows.
A 3.8 liter V-6 engine pairs with a 4 speed automatic transmission, antilock brakes, 8 way power seats, and load leveling rear suspension maintains a comfortable ride.
With brisk acceleration off the line, and the automatic overdrive transmission downshifts quickly to make ample passing power available. Put your foot down, and you KNOW when the overdrive kicks in.
Head room and leg room are generous for all seating positions with room for six adults, if everyone is willing to squeeze a little. Trunk space (over 20 cubic feet) is generous as well, with the flat, wide floor capable of holding several suitcases. The instrument panel has large, well-marked controls and gauges that are easy to read and convenient to use.
Everything I can think of that is wrong with this vehicle:
- Windshield has a crack on drivers side, but still passed inspection last time I got it inspected.
- Rearview mirrorfell off the windshield but can easily be put back on with rearview mirror glue.
- Trunk latch broke/disassembled and is tied down. I placed a bag of potting soil on the lid to hold it down for a while and it oxidized/discolored the trunk in that spot.
- No accidents, a little tree sap on it, needs paint touch up.
- Other than what is above - normal wear and tear for an upscale 26 year old vehiclethat has not been garage kept since I\'ve had it.
I have 2 1992 Olds 98s for sale. $2,500 ea or $4,800 for both. Message me if you want both.
