Up for auction is a 1985 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. I am selling this car for a neighbor/friend who has terminal brain cancer so I will describe it to the best of my knowledge. What makes this car unique - It is a one owner car with no rot or rust on it. All the original documentation that came with the car when new will come with the car now also. It\'s a neat walk down memory lane for this now antique car. That being said, the car seems to need some work. The car wasn\'t starting, so I picked up a new battery to put in it, but the car does not crank over, and I\'m not sure the reason why. The interior door panels are not there and will need to be replaced, as well as the window felts and the shocks that hold up both the rear hatch and the hood. At this time the rear hatch does not lock shut. The passenger side seat belt is cracked and will need to be replaced. Interior is in decent and usable condition. There are no cracks in the dash, and it is very nice. The front passenger side fender has some damage and the clear coat is peeling in places. Both doors open and shut very nicely. The car has an upgraded alpine radio that plays cassettes. The car has the original 305 V8 and as of a year or so ago, the family tells me the car would run and drive. The car will also need new tires. The car has crank windows, manual locks, power brakes, power steering, A/C, rear defroster, intermittent wipers, and a rear hatch release. The car is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer will be responsible for picking up the car themselves, or having someone else transport the vehicle to their location. At this time as mentioned above, it is a non operation vehicle. The car has a clean title and will be signed over by the gentlemen\'s brother who has power of attorney due to his illness. I will try and answer all questions as best I can. Auction is no reserve so bid to win. Please ask any questions you have and I will do my best to answer them or ask the owner\'s brother to see if he knows. There are lots of pictures, so please do not bid if you do not plan to buy or own this car.
