Up for auction is my fathers 1979 Lincoln Town Car. My father purchased this car from the original owners estate. Vehicle was involved in an accident about 20 years ago. At which time the car was put up on blocks andparked to be repaired. Vehicle has just over 100,000 original miles. The bumper was sent out to be straightened and was never returned. The Lincoln didn\'t see day light until a year ago when my father purchased it. We soaked the cylinders put in a new fuel tank, sending unit, fuel pump, fuel hoses, plugs, a battery and changed the oil. It started right up and it runs great.
Vehicle is equipped with a 400 2bbl, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power door locks, dual power seats, power windows, power trunk, power antenna, factory air conditioning, factory power moon roof, am/fm stereo cassette with rare built in cb radio, temperature readingon outside dual rear view mirrors, andposi traction rear differential. This was a special ordered car and was a vinyl roof delete.
The car is 100% solid and rust free. It obviously has body damage but it is only sheet metal damage. The rest of the body and original paint is in excellent condition. The undercarriage is solid and clean.
The original interior is in excellent overall condition. All optional equipmentoperates properly with the exception of the A/C, it needs a charge and to be checked for leaks.
Vehicle runs and drives well. I only drove it around the neighborhood. It does have brakes butthey should be inspected before it is driven any distanceto be safe.The original bumper gone but the bumper guards, grill and bumper strips are in a box in the trunk.
