1973 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Convertible 2V- a true survivor car, unrestored original, 36,000 original miles. I have owned this car for almost 12 years, time to let her go to a new home, making room in my garage for another vehicle. I have babied this car since I bought her, shelooks and runs great.Powder blue with white interior this car has factory air conditioning, power disc brakes, tilt steering wheel, power top, power steering, 351-2V Cleveland motor with Ford Cruise-o-Matic automatic transmission, every option available, I even have the original 8 track radio (saved in a box for you). The body is in exceptional condition as is the paint, no rust at all, undercarriage in great condition, chrome in excellent condition, all gauges work like new. This car is a true cruiser garage queen, I get a lot of looks on the roads driving her around.
Recent work done includes rebuilt carburetor, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new fuel filter, new water pump, new radiator and newer Michelintires and battery.So what\'s wrong with it? Minor issues, scratches in the front chrome bumper, top goes up slowly, door panels need to be attached better, seat belt on the passenger side not retrieving. This car is in exceptional condition given its age, I challenge anyone to find an unrestored original in better condition.
