Up for sale is a 1961 Biscayne. This car has all original metal, paint, motor, & trans. 235/3on the tree. This car is a true barn find after 29yrs of sitting. Car was purchased in AUG of 2012.
This car has been upgraded with:All new suspension, with CPP. Tubular control arms front and rear. Air ride suspension front/back/side to side system,with 1/2 valve manifold by Airbaggit, 2700# firestone airbags, 2 480 AirMax compressors, & 5&1/2 gallon air tank. 4 wheel CPP.manual disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors. Wilwoood master cylinder. Pertronix conversion with flamethrower coil to (eliminating points set up). 140 amp alternator. newgas tank, rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, 1 yr old battery, new wheel bearings front and rearinstalled in July. 17\'\' front wheels & 18\'\' on rear with lots of tread left on tires. Car starts, runs, stops as it should. Ideal car for LS swap!
Interior has been all replaced except forthe original head liner and visors need to be re covered.
Car has some rust areas, mainly inboth front fenders. rear quarters have verysmall pinholes in lips of quarters. car is in extremely good shape for its age. not aone single panel has ever been replaced or removed. car has all of its original trim, & glass.
Things the car needs;
Interior domelight does not work, reverse lights not working, factory hood light needs to be rewired,factory trunk light is working. possibly new u joints and center drive shaft carrier bearing would be in near future. I have driven this car on several 300+ mile cruises to either GoodGuys shows or area shows without any issues.Car has been always in heated garage.Great head turning car.
Car comes with all extra or misc. or original parts I have for the Biscayne. (original springs, 2 dashes, grill & upper grill, stock rear control arms, misc trim and gauges). Car has clean & clear title ready for buyer. Title will not be released if payingwith cashiers check UNTIL CHECK CLEARS!
