1936 Ford 3-Window Coupe

Up for saletoday is a beautiful example of an American classic. It is an original all steel 1936 Ford 3window coupe. A complete ground uprestoration has just been completed on this hot rod, and it is now ready to beenjoyed for miles to come.
First off, isthe frame. The chassis was stripped downand sandblasted. A Chassis EngineeringMustang II complete front end setup was installed with Rack and Pinionsteering. A brand-new John’s 9 inch rearend was custom made and set on a Posie leaf spring kit. Then it was loaded up with a .325 gear. The entire frame and all components werepainted with a gloss black single stage paint.
In order to stop this ride, there are a set of disc brakes upfront and new drums in the rear. Thechassis rides on a new set of painted 15” steelies. Tires are Vintage Coker BF Goodrich up frontwith Firestone 235/15 in the rear and finished off with Ford logo hubcaps.
The best part ofthe car has to be the original body. Thebody is unchopped, not channeled, still has the original cowl vent opening, andthe top has been filled. Since purchasing it last year, the body has gotten acomplete make-over.
The body has a new set of floor boards and the wheel wells werereplaced with a nice set of originals off a donor car. The rest of the body wasn\'t that bad, butinstead of just mudding over it, I went ahead and installed the properreplacement panels in the lower doors, lower cowl, and lower quarters. The firewall was filled and smoothed out toshow off the fantastic original metal patterning. The front fenders are all original along withthe rest of the front-end sheet metal.The rear fenders are new Bob Drake replacements that fit up beautifully.This body, once fixed, was straight and easily finished up in the bodyshop. We decided on a black cherry glossfinish and finished off with new running board covers and polished stainlessand chrome trim.
Inside the car is allbrand new. The original steel dash wasmodified and now displays 2 New Vintage USA Woodward gauges along with amatching clock. The original glove box door with a new box complete the classiclook. Under the dash is all nice andclean, with hidden switches, and all wired up using Rebel Wiring. The steering in the car is a new FlamingRiver column, topped with a shrunk 40 Ford wheel. The seat in the car is original and coveredin a satin tan material. The interior inthe car is reminiscent of the 1950’s styling with roll and tuck pleating and afine wool carpet is on the floor. Behindthe metal garnish moldings is all new tinted glass, with perfect regulators andcat whiskers finishes up the interior. All three pieces of glass do roll upand down and the windshield cranks in and out as designed in 1936. As an original Rumble seat car, we have keptthat feature and recovered the seat and surrounded it in new interiorpanels. The battery is hidden behindthese new panels for a nice clean complete interior.
The power plantof the car is a mild rebuilt SBC (350). Theengine features new headers, Edelbrock intake with matching Carb, Cal CustomChrome valve covers and air cleaner. Itis cooled with a new Walker Radiator and a Electric fan. Nothing too fancy, just meant to look understatedand clean, but still gets this 3 window up and moving. Behind the engine is a completely rebuiltTurbo 350, and a Lokar shifter.
As you can see, alot of time and money, went into this car. This car is being sold in order to letsomeone else enjoy it while I move onto the next project.
