Original Vintage 1939 Mercury Eight \"God Mercury\" Profile Hubcap
Features the iconic inaugural 1939-edition embossed center profile of the Roman god Mercury in his winged cap, surrounded by concentric stepped rings.
Description:
Up for sale is a rare original 1939 Mercury Eight stainless steel hubcap. 1939 was the very first model year for Ford\'s Mercury division, making this single-year hubcap design highly collectible. It features the distinct central raised emblem depicting the side profile silhouette of the Roman god Mercury wearing his classic winged helmet, framed by concentric stepped ribs.
An excellent piece for a early pre-war Mercury restoration, hot rod / rat rod build, or classic Ford/Mercury automotive memorabilia collection!
