This is one of our best selling intake manifolds. The improvement over a cast iron intake is HUGE. One of the many reason for improved performance is the runner design. They are longer, allowing for better mixture of fuel and air. We feel this is the best all around intake for stock to medium sized builds. This intake will bolt right up toyour SBC V-8 engine. Now you have a chance to eliminate so many of those unwanted hookups that plague your stock intake. Nothing looks better than an engine with a new performance intake. Give the engine that clean look.

The intake port is left slightly smaller to allow port/gasket matching
Recommended intake gasket: Fel Pro 1204 or 1256.
This intake will accept Quadra Jet carbs as well as Holley and Edelbrock with the use of the adapter plate and gaskets that are included at no additional cost.
The aluminum intake is perfect for tweaking ports on. Very easy compared to cast iron.

Hood clearance is usuallynot a problem with this low profile intake. Our customers have used them on several 70's Corvettes without a problem.

The light weight aluminum reduces front end weight over stock cast iron models.
Heat dissipation is another plus of aluminum over cast iron. Engines run better if the intake can rid itself of heat.
This intake sets up about 1/2" over the stock intake, giving it a bolder look, yet still allowing for clearance with low profile hoods.
This intake is a direct replacement from the stock intake manifold from 57-86 on all small block Chevy engines that are NON EGR. Also included, at no additional cost, is an adapter plate and gaskets that allow for the use of the typical Holley/Edelbrock carburetor. This intake comes set up for a direct bolt on of all Quadra Jet carbs. The adapter plate allows for other carbs to be used.
This intake will NOT work on LT Corvette engines with reverse flow heads that came into use in the mid 90's in Corvette's as well as Camaro's.
Our aluminum intakes are cast from steel molds, not sand molds. They provide a tighter grain casting, therefore reducing the occurrence of porosity which can mar the finish.
No drawback to using this intake. Only a great savings in money!
