They are very simular to the ones shown below except the tie bar on the bbc version has a staggered shape. They will be brand new factory sealed.
The picture above is that of the sbc lifters, but you will recieve the bbc retro lifters that look simular. The bbc retro lifters will have the staggered shaped tie bar.These lifters are designed for bbc, (big block Chevy)engine blocks, later or early style, as well as aftermarket blocks such asDart, World or GM Bowtie series.The retro style refers to the fact that these will work in early style bbc blocks that never used roller lifters. These are to be used with hydraulic roller camshafts.
Howards brand roller lifters are premium quality. Made in the USA Rated for up to 6500 rpm. These are the type lifters used in all of our street/strip engines. All early bbc engines came with hyd. flat tappet lifters, and these are an excellent upgrade mainly due to the fact that most bbc engine builds using a hyd. flat tappet cam are very prone to failure. Going to a roller cam eliminates such failures, and offers the many other benifits of roller cams.

Howards Cams Street series retrofit hydraulic roller lifters are designed for street performance enthusiasts who want to upgrade to a hydraulic roller camshaft. They are manufactured to fit early or late model blocks, including blocks with tall lifter bosses. Howards Cams uses cold form technology to shape their bodies for durability. The lifters are then carbonitrided and tempered for hardness. They also feature hardened and tempered steel alloy roller wheels, heat-treated stainless steel cross bars, and high-alloy steel tie bar buttons. Howards Cams Street series retrofit hydraulic roller lifters are made in the USA and are specifically designed for street applications up to 6,500 rpm.
