5052 aluminum. (Same thickness as a nickel). 5052 is commonly used in
aircraft and marine applications. Super light weight and
strength is ideal for this application. Our heater delete panel is an exact fit. Panel
mounts using
original hole locations. No need to drill any holes. Panel is extended to cover both heater hose holes. Panel exceeds NHRA requirements of .050 aluminum. A bead of silicon
around the perimeter of the panel will seal out any fumes from the engine
compartment. I recommend Permatex Ultra Black Hi
Temp RTV Silicon Gasket Maker. Comes in a black squeeze tube. You can
get it at most auto parts stores. Each
panel
has a sanded finish. Ready for paint to match you car's color or
leave it natural sanded aluminum. You will not find this panel for less.
