Why replace the vacuum lines?
Leaks in the vacuum system are one of the most common problems with supercharged 3.8s. They can cause difficult or impossible starting,
loss of horsepower, poor fuel economy, irregular idling, poor emissions
and more. Older fuel injected cars like the Pontiac have a lot of vacuum lines and connections increasing the chances for a leak. Pontiac's factory
hoses are good but they are so old now that it's quite common for them

It's very
important to have leak free hoses and connections on the supercharged 3.8. Now that they
are old, the factory hoses often leak under boost causing incorrect pressure signals to
reach the map sensor, fuel pressure regulator, and the supercharger's bypass solenoid and
bypass actuator. If your supercharged Pontiac is a little low on power, or has higher than
normal fuel consumption or emissions this kit will probably help.What's in the kit? The 1998-2003 Supercharged Pontiac Bonneville SSEi kit replaces all the vacuum lines under the hood. It also includes an extra twelve
feet of hose to allow you to replace your radiator overflow and windshield washer hoses if
desired. This is a pre-cut kit and it includes the needed vacuum "T"s.
Why buy our kit when there are others out there for less money?
Our vacuum hose kits are the best on the market. We
use only 100% pure silicone hose, not silicone hose made with cheap filler, like sand (no
kidding, some of the cheaper brands do that!). Our hose has very thick walls and will not
collapse under vacuum when hot. These hoses are sized correctly and they grip the car's
fittings very well and in most cases do not need clamps. They will seal air tight without
clamps even under turbo and or supercharger boost. We do suggest clamps for the power
brake booster hose but that's the only place we use them. All our hoses will make very
tight bends without collapsing internally. The smallest size can make a 180 degree turn
inside a one inch circle. This makes it very easy to duplicate the factory's routings. We

I know it's a cliche, but beware of imitators. We at
hiperformancestore.com were the first company to sell vehicle specific silicone hose kits.
Lately a few other companies have been trying to copy our hose kits. Quite a few even use
the same language we use on their web site and in their ebay ads. They usually use
inferior hose and almost never have enough hose in their kits to do the job. One vendor
who copied us sells kits for a fine European sports car. They know their kit doesn't have
enough so they suggest you buy two! The truth is, even two or three won't give you enough
hose of the correct size. In fact, no matter how many of their kits you buy, you will have
to splice two pieces together. This is because there are hoses on your car longer than the
longest piece of a certain size in their kit. Save yourself a lot of trouble and buy your
kit from us.
The pictures below give you a comparison of our hose vs. a sample of several of our competitors hose. Our hoses have the correct inner diameters so they seal very well. The wall of our hose
is 70% thicker and has a uniform thickness all the way around. Our hose kit has all the correct sizes for your G.M. M90 supercharged 3.8.
