Here is aFord 9"positraction rear center differental unit. This unithas 3.89 gears and is for31 spline axles. The posi unit is thehigh perfomanceFord4 pinion EqualLock unit. These Ford 9" rears were used in a majority of Ford applications from thelate 1950's until the 1980's. This will fit almost every 9" rear end housing and applicationthat has31 spline axles. The case has a casting number ofWAR-4025-B. The gears areaftermarket heavy duty Mark Williams 3.89gears with atooth count of 9-35. Thepinion support has a part number of D2SW. The housing is in excellent shape with no cracks or damage, and has never been welded on or repaired. There is no pitting anywhere on this unit. All of the mounting holes are in excellent shape. The gears are ingreat shape with no chips, no broken teeth, and no major wear or damage. This unit spins over nice and tight and is not sloppy or loose. This unithas been sitting wrapped up on agarage shelf for the past few years as a spare for a Mustang. This was just recently cleaned up and painted black. The 3.89 ratio is an excellent performance ratio that will get yourhigh performance Ford moving quickly yet still give you adecent ride on the highway! TheseFord 9"posi rear ends are becoming hard to find in good shape so don't miss out on this one at NO RESERVE!!
Thisreardoesn't appear to need anything; itspins overand feels real good. I have not personally run this rear end so I do not know its actualworking condition. I inspect eachrear as thoroughly as possible before offering them here on ebay.I have given the best and most honestdescription of thisunit that I could.
