Let's face it. You got a low restriction air filter and a Power Programmer for your turbo diesel because you wanted some of that extra horsepower that everybody has been talking about. Now you're faced with an increase in your exhaust temperatures. Exhaust temperatures that are too high can actually cause ENGINE DAMAGE. If you are running a programmer in the 100+ horsepower range you really should get a PYROMETER and keep an eye on your exhaust temperatures. You should also get this FOUR INCH EXHAUST SYSTEM for your Turbo Diesel. ALLTURBO DIESELS WILL BENEFIT FROM INCREASED EXHAUST
This system comes down in 3" for clearance purposes and opens to 4" at the first flange. Keeping the temperature down is essential to getting all the long term dependable service from your diesel that you intended to get when you bought it! And even add some
additional hosepower!
This system uses ALUMINIZED STEEL. With the HIGH HEAT that these diesels emit it is essential to use ALUMINIZED TUBING for long wear. Although stainless steel is a stronger material it is subject to splitting when subjected to extremes of high heat and cold repeatedly. And with the extremes of temperature that thesebabies can emit stainless might not last as long as you think. COMES with 8" flow thru muffler. Look straight thru and you see that there is no back pressure here. But keeps the sound down to a very respectable, throaty sound.
