Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL !! - CUSTOM RESTORED !! - 1955 Pontiac Star Chief Custom Catalina Two Door Hardtop !! 1955 was the FIRST and they tell me the BEST year of the second generation Star Chief !! We purchased this Star Chief Catalina from the previous older Idaho owner and as you can tell in the pictures and video it was his pride and joy for sure !! It still retains it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - Pontiac cowl mounted data plate and it's - FACTORY ORIGINAL - driver's door pillar mounted VIN tag, both of which are shown in several pictures below. This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho High Mountain Desert - Western car and it shows !! I drove this Star Chief as my daily driver for the last several days and I assure it runs and drives VERY WELL !! It is a GREAT driver in town and cruises down the freeway at 70+ mph, easily and smoothly. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days, please come take a look at and drive this BEAUTY for yourself you won't be disappointed. At the heart of this Star Chief is the VERY STRONG !! - Code "XC" - 350 CID V8 motor that is running VERY well. The motor also sports an Edelbrock Performer aluminum 4 barrel intake manifold, ORIGINAL Style exhaust manifolds, Custom Chrome valve covers, Spectre Performance custom chrome air cleaner housing and an Edelbrock Performance 4 barrel carburetor with electric choke. Sounds GREAT too with the THROATY true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The engine is backed by a SMOOTH !! - Three speed - "TH-350" - Turbo Hydra-Matic - automatic transmission that also functions very well. The BEAUTIFUL !! - CUSTOM - Pearl White and Magenta - "Tuck & Roll" - interior is in VERY NICE condition including a VERY NICE CUSTOM Pearl White - "Tuck & Roll" - front bench seat, VERY NICE CUSTOM Pearl White - "Tuck & Roll" - Vinyl door panels, VERY NICE NEW Dark Magenta carpeting, NICE ORIGINAL Pontiac steering wheel, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Factory gauge clusters, VERY NICE CUSTOM Pearl White Vinyl headliner, VERY NICE CUSTOM Pearl White Vinyl sun visors, VERY NICE CUSTOM Pearl White - "Tuck & Roll" - rear seat and a VERY NICE MATCHING CUSTOM Magenta Metallic dash !! All of the black rubber weatherstripping is soft, supple and in GREAT condition. The suspension and drive line seem to be in good working order as well as the electrical system. Check out the AWESOME !! - Custom American Racing billet aluminum wheels wrapped in NEARLY NEW steel belted radial tires, boy do they look OUTSTANDING on this Star Chief and really give it that CLEAN - "HOT ROD" - look !! All of the RARE ORIGINAL chrome and stainless steel exterior body trim and moldings are in NICE condition including NICE ORIGINAL Badging, VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome front and rear bumpers and VERY NICE ORIGINAL Chrome headlight surrounds. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk also sports a NICE Dark Magenta carpet liner and a full size radial spare tire. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are also clear, bright and BEAUTIFUL !! I looked underneath and also included photos below, again this is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Idaho High Mountain Desert - western vehicle and it shows !!
