1967 PLYMOUTH BELVEDERE II SILVER SPECIAL SURVIVOR 27,600 ORIGINAL MILES
1967 Plymouth Belvedere II Silver Special Survivor. Silver Specials were only offered for a short time in the spring of 67. 2 door and 4 door models were available. Several body colors were offered, but only one color for the interior; silver -black. The vinyl roof was black with silver tone and matched the black-silver seat inserts. This car's exterior color code is AA1 - Monotone Silver Mattalic.
In July, 2010 I took the car to the All Chrysler Nationals and displayed it in the Survivors tent. I was told by several people that they could not believe that the paint was original, but, it is. This car is absolutely rust free. All of the chrome and trim shines like day one. The interior is all original and the dash board is crisp and sharp. All of the guages and lights work. The seat covers are perfect except the welt cords are a little faded. This car has a 318 2 barrel (last year for Stromberg carb), power steering, manual brakes and factory A/C. I had the A/C charged and it worked well but eventually lost the charge. The blower motor works good.
The car was purchased new at Massey Andrews Plymouth in Clearwater, Florida on March 21, 1967 by Agnes Alsdorf (25 miles from where I live). She put 15,000 miles on it and sold it to a Mopar enthusiast in April, 1982. He put 11,000 miles on and then sold it to a Mopar collector in 1992. The collector had intentions of cloning it to a Hemi, but instead put it in air conditioned storage and never touched it from 1992 to 2010 when I acquired it. When the car was taken out of storage it received all new fluids, gas tank, gas line, brakes, brake lines, trans lines, water pump, all NOS. Additionally the original carb was rebuilt. I have all of the repair receipts from day one to present as well as the Certi Card. The car has been in the Tampa/Clearwater, Florida area all of it's life. The third owner never titled the car and I have a clear Florida title in my name.
