1970 Oldsmobile 442 W30
This is a RARE andORIGINAL 1970 Oldsmobile Holiday Coupe442 W30 with 4 speed transmission in it's recentlyre-sprayed original Matador Red over Black interior. It comes with a DOCUMENTED and true 64,026 miles. ONLY 1032 of these special 442 W30 cars were everbuilt for 1970, who knows how many survived. This car has lived its life mainly in Arizona. The car was sold new in May of 1970 from Queensbury Motors in Glen Falls, NY. The car has recently gone through a FULL restoration; including all mechanical systems subject to wear as well as re-furbished front RED plastic light weight optioned inner fender wells. The engine and transmission were both professionally rebuilt to stock OEM specs. The major portion of theinterior is brand new. EVERYTHING works on this car, INCLUDING the Clock, Radio and all courtesy lightsand comes with original owners manual and service wrapped book. It is equipped with manual disc brakes, power steering, Rally Gauges, 3.91 posi rear end, optional Tic/Toc Clock with RPM Gauge,optional OEMSSI wheels with new and correct date period Goodyear tires, OEM tinted window option, and well as the upgraded courtesylight package. The car is a VINmatching number car to the original M21 4 speed transmission mated to a correct factorywarranty replaced L1SB short block, correct 455, with original "F" coded heads, aluminum intake manifold and distributor. When and why the warranty replacement, we do not know. It was quite common back in the day to have the short block replaced on these W30 cars under warranty conditions.It has the original W30 rear endspecification 12 bolt 3.91 posi optionwith the optional W27 rear end package upgrade,light weight aluminum coverand rear sway bar. Finished off with correct optionalOEM rare rear fiberglass wing. A completenew exhaust system with the correct trumpet tips and sounds beautiful as it should. PNT 75 75 Matador Red body and topThis stunning 442 W30 features a complete restoration of a numbers matching car, and is one of only 1032 4-speed W30s built in 1970. In brilliant Matador Red. With it's massive hood scoops, subtly flared fenders, and cool trumpet exhaust tips that have their own cut-outs in the rear bumper. The paint is show quality andthe black paintedgraphics have been expertly applied to a show quality. This is a first-class restorations.You just wouldn't see those lines on a car of lesser quality. The fit of the hood, which is fiberglass as original, is impressive given the dissimilarity of the two materials.Oldsmobile's were still straddling the luxury car line, so the 442 also received a good dose of bright trim, including the bumpers, grille, and stainless window surrounds. Sport mirrors were part of the package, along with die-cast emblems on the front fenders, deck lid, and nose. The glass is in very good condition, with a Soft-Ray tint, and the distinctive two-element tail lights.
Fitted with Black Stratobucket seats thatmatch the stripes on the hood. The seats covers, as well as the foam, are brand new. There'sburled walnut surrounding the handsome restored gauges, and the odometer shows just such low miles of just over 50,000 with less then 2000 traveled sincethe car was completed.Extra Oldsmobile feature's in 1970, fully lined, offering a matching spare Super Stock II wheel, spare tire, and complete jack assembly with courtesy light for the trunk..The 442 W30's big claim to fame was the engine, a purpose-built 455 cubic inch beast. This car also features the G80 performance axle package and M21 4-speed, original and born with this car, which offered 3.91 gears on a limited slip differential, extra heavy duty radiator, as well as the FE2 heavy duty suspension.
