This is a truck that belonged to my friend's grandfather who took part in its construction when he worked for Ford Motor company back in the 60's. He bought and owned the truck before passing it to his grandson whom I bought it from in Georgia. That makes me the 3rd owner. I bought the truck in 93 and it has been garage kept since then. I had the intent to fully restore it to factory shape with my son, but due to circumstances that activity is not going to take place, so I am looking to sell it and move on. The truck is in very good condition, with some rust, dings and wear being its 50 years old. It has never been in an accident while I have owned it and to my knowledge is accident free for its lifetime. It has been painted once, around 21 years ago, the factory color was white. It is a 62 unibody, made only two years, 61 and 62 which makes it very unique from other pickups. There is no gap between the cab and bed..it is one solid body. It is a short bed with a straight 6 cylinder, three speed in the column, standard steering, am radio and good tires. It runs like a top. My son and I last year put new brakes on all four wheels, complete rebuild with drums, shoes, cylinders along with a new master cylinder. We installed new hoses and belts as well as a full tune up, plugs, pts, cond. rotor cap and rotor and plugs. The truck is full factory..nothing has been modified and has never been smoked in. The only things mechanically wrong as of this writing is the gas gauge quit working recently and the windshield has a small crack which has been there since I've owned it. The vehicle can be seen by contacting me and making arrangements for inspection and or a drive. This is an "as is" purchase. Buyer will make his own arrangements for transporting vehicle upon purchase.
