Talk about the“RIGHT ONE”…this one is it! And listen to this…is is a true…2-OWNER car from ARIZONA…with just 25,000 Original Miles! Now…you can look and look…and I guarantee you find another like this…ESPECIALLY AT SUCH PRICE!
Finished in Bright Red with the Classic Black “SS” Stripes…this is one eye-catching ride! Not to mention, the rim and tire package has been upgraded with some High $$$ American-Racing “Torq-Thrust” Wheels to give it that finishing touch! Now…being a true Arizona Car…this car has ALL of it’s ORIGINAL metal! That’s Right…Original Floors…Original Quarters…Original Fenders…even the Original Cowl Hood!!! There can’t be very many other 68’ Chevelle’s out there that you could say that about! Now…this car was in Arizona up until 2008 when it was shipped up to Iowa and restored to what you see here today! The previous owner stated that he had over $30,000 invested into the restoration, and if you’ve ever priced a restoration…$30,000 might be an under-statement! Restoration costs are nuts…and to buy and restore such a car would cost you a pretty penny!
Now…the interior shows just as nice as the exterior! At the time of restoration, all of the upholstery was updated. New Carpet, New Seat Upholstery, New Headliner, and even an updated set of bucket seats that make this Chevelle a comfortable cruiser! Don’t Forget…this Chevelle is a factory SS – Bucket Seat Car – so YES it does have the FULL factory console with horseshoe shifter! The previous owner did switch the steering wheel out and add some aftermarket Autometer Gauges and Tach; however, it wouldn’t take much to take this one back to original!
Now…this car was born with a 396 Cubic-Inch BIG BLOCK; however, over the years the 396 was removed and today the retains a well built 454 Cubic-Inch “Big-Block”. As you can see, the Monster Motor is well detailed with Mickey Thompson Valve Covers, Eldebrock Intake, Eldebrock Carb, Hooker Headers, and a Chrome Air-Cleaner. Now…isn’t one of those cars that is just all show and no go…THIS CAR RUNS – DRIVES – and PERFORMS as good as it looks….IF NOT BETTER!

We are Thiel Motor Sales Inc., Team Thiel Transportation Specialists is our eBay division. We were established in 1972 in DeWitt Iowa. The original founders were Jim and Mary Thiel, and their two sons John and Bob. At the time Jim had just retired from his job with the U.S. Government and John and Bob were both school teachers. Thiel Motors was to just be hobby for the family. In 1974 Bob Thiel left Thiel Motor Sales and teaching to become a partner in what is today Burnette-Thiel Ford. John along with his Father Jim and Mother Mary stayed at Thiel Motors to serve the DeWitt area. In 1992 Mary passed away after a bout with cancer. After her death, Jim decided to retire from the business and turn it over to his son John. John then retired from Teaching and went into the business full time. In 1997 John's son Jim came to work for the family business. John's other son Jon Jr. Came to work for the business in 2001. In 2001 Thiel Motors had grown so rapidly that they opened a second location in Clinton Iowa. Today Thiel Motors has grown into a Full sales and service dealership, specializing in Sales of Factory program Vehicles, trucks and SUV's, along with hard to find Collector vehicles as well as fine imports.
