As the VIN number, trim tag andbuild indicates this car was built at the Van Nuys, California plant. It spent most of its life in sunnyCalifornia. I don’t have any of the owner history but I understand thegentleman who owned the car lived in California and purchased it there. The car was an amazing find for him becauseit was so original from the sheet metal to the drivetrain. He decided to perform a complete rotisserierestoration sparing no expense. Prior tothe restoration he took tons of photos as documentation to prove itsoriginality. I’ve pictured some of thephotos below as examples. All the photosare included with the sale. During therestoration breakdown process he found the build sheet on the gas tank! Finding a second generation Camaro buildsheet is rare. Photos of the build sheeton the tank are also pictured below. He also kept all the original tags thatwere all over the car such as the AC, carpet, springs, etc. The original owner’s manual is alsoincluded. The goal was to restore thecar back to its original condition with the intentions of keeping it. The restoration had been completed and hedidn’t use it very often. A few yearsago he moved from California to Louisiana. Busy with life he decided to sellit.

The body is very straight and thegaps are very tight. The hood, doors andtrunk lid open and close very easily. Thefront spilt bumper gives the car some great character. As the trim tag indicates it was painted inits factory original code #67 Classic Copper color. The paint is beautiful and show quality. This isn’t your average paint job and myguess is it was very expensive. It’svirtually flawless and appears new. Thiscolor is very rare and very rich looking especially in the direct sunlight. Even the glass is all new. I purchased brand new set of four 15” Cooper CobraRadial tires which are on the car. Thesale also comes with a set of Firestone Wide Oval F60X15 tires. This is onegreat looking car that attracts tons of attention.

The exterior is complimented by anincredible interior. As the trim tag indicates the factory original interiorcolor was code #730 Sandlewood. The twocolors really complement each other perfectly.I can’t read all options on the build sheet but I know the car had suchitems as code #D55 console, #U63 p/bradio, #U76 w/s antenna, #Y02/Y03 custom front seats, #Y05 floor deadener, #Y10custom trim, #Z87 custom interior and #Z22 Rally Sport package. Most importantthis car originally came with code #C60 Air Conditioning. The air conditioning is in working order. Thetrunk compartment is also nicely detailed. Please note, there is no spare tire.

The engine compartment is highlydetailed. Its home to the factoryoriginal code L-65 matching numbers engine which runs excellent. This engine was rated at 250HP at 4800 RPM’swith 345 pounds of torque. It was a 9.0:1 compression engine which made it verystreet friendly. The car was obviously equipped with code #NA9 which was CAemissions. There are a lot of originalparts in the engine compartment. Theengine is coupled to the factory original code #M38 three speed automatictransmission which shifts beautifully. The power is transferred to the factory original matching numbers10-bolt rear end. The code CRX 0226G2 numbers indicate it’s a 10-bolt, 2.73gears and was built February 26 with Detroit gear and axle. This car is also equipped with factoryoriginal code #N40 power steering and #J50 power brakes with front disc.

The undercarriage is also detailedand truly amazing. The floors are alloriginal and in beautiful condition. This car looks, runs and drives great. It only has test miles since itwas restored.
