Offered for sale is an absolutely restored 1966 Buick Riviera Gran Sport.Fittingly appointed in gloss black over a white leather interior, this gutty classic is a gorgeous illustration of a better time in American
cars.Presented as an alternative to the
Ford Thunderbird, the Riviera was considered a symbol of class and
prestige.A true “CEO’S” sports car, it came with all the bells and whistles that any 1960’s era luxury car could offer. The car completely lives up to the "Fast With Class" tagline that Buick used in its advertising from the era. In fact, it may even somewhat understate the car's performance prowess. Fitted with its factory correct 430cu-in V8 that delivers 360hp at 5,000rpm, the car rumbles ominously at idle an absolutely roars when you get on the accelerator.
Aesthetically the car is pristine.A quick look underneath the car or in any of its corners and crevasses, and it's immediately apparent that countless hours have been put into bringing this car back to like-new condition. The car's design is menacing and timeless, the lines a
delicate balance of elegant and extreme.Every cosmetic
detail is authentic and correct.The
extensive, ground up restoration was done at an astronomical expense
to ensure that every element of the car was brought up to show standards. The car was truly a labor of love for it's prior owner, a noted and significant collector from the midwest. The extensive, ground up restoration was performed to show standards at astronomical expense and the car has hardly been driven since its completion.
This GS is in fantastic mechanical condition and is as much
fun to drive as it looks. The staggering
amount of torque to the rear-end and sheer power of the 430 big block is an
excellent reminder of an American legacy. We want this truck to go to a great home, so please feel free to email us or give us a call at (805) 886-1823.

While I have a California dealer license, I’m not your typical dealer. I’ve always had an appreciation for classic and sports cars and have always bought and sold them to create a small revolving personal collection which has afforded me the opportunity of meeting many other interesting enthusiasts, including the owner of this Riviera. As such, this is a consignment car and can be seen by appointment at my warehouse in Santa Barbara. I try to give accurate descriptions of the cars I’m selling, but I’m not an expert and I encourage and am happy to help facilitate personal or professional inspections. But please do so before bidding, as the alternative harms my ability to make sales with other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding.
For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time should it sell prior to auction's end. Thanks for your interest.

PLEASE NOTE: An error was made in the listing description. The car is equipped with its original 425 nailhead motor. It does not have a 430 block which was not available in the 1966 model car. We apologize for this error.
