2001 Superformance Cobra #830 with 3,600 miles on the chassis and only 1,100 on the all aluminum 427 FE side oiler engine and TKO-600 transmission. The Cobra is painted in brilliant Ford Laser Red with Titanium stripes. This is a very rare Superformance color and is no longer available through the factory. The Cobra comes with the full chrome bumper package, chrome roll bar, Superformance Cobra floor mats, authentic wind wings, sun visors and fender mirror.
The engine includes an aluminum block, aluminum High Riser Heads and an Aluminum Dual Quad Crab Intake from DOVE MFG. The engine was machine balanced and assembled at Performance Engineering. The completed engine 511 cubic inches and was tuned on the engine dyno to 610 hp @ 6100 RPM and 579 ft-lbs torque at 4500 RPM. On the chassis dyno the Cobra pulled an impressive 526 RWHP and 521 RWTQ.
The transmission is the new Tremec TKO-600 high horsepower / high torque 5-speed transmission. A new Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch assembly is installed to compete the drive train.
The Cobra comes with the ceramic-coated headers and side mounted exhaust, high performance aluminum core radiator twin thermostatically controlled electric cooling fans, engine oil cooler, MSD ignition system and Ford 8.8\" limited-slip differential with 3.73:1 gear ratio. Front and rear fully independent suspension with adjustable coil-over shocks keep the Aluminum pin drive Halibrand style true knock-off wheels and BF Goodrich tired firmly planted on the road. Four wheel ventilated disc brakes with Wilwood 4-piston calipers stop the Cobra with little effort.
The Superformance Cobra is not a kit but one of the best turnkey factory manufactured Cobras available today. This car is completely docile and dependable on the street and just lopes along on the freeway. It runs on pump gas, does not overheat, and at a whim will shut down any super car and most super bikes prowling the streets. The light weight all aluminum FE engine provides big block power and torque with a small block handling. The Cobra is, in a word, breath taking fast, not for the inexperience driver and draws a large crowd at the weekend cruises and car shows. The Cobra is in mint condition and a great investment for a true Cobra lover.
