This 1977 Ford Pinto wagon wasfound in a garage where it had been parked since 1991. The owner was an oldergentleman who used it for his fishing car. His granddaughter said he would loada small boat onto the roof rack and go fishing at the local lakes. The carshows 44,000 miles on the clock and I think it is probably true according toits use history, the time period it has been in storage and the overallcondition of the car. The car seems to be all original and everything in thecar works, even the cigarette lighter. I have had the fuel tank, fuel lines andcarburetor cleaned, replaced the fuel filter, water pump, thermostat andhousing, changed the oil and filter, replaced the battery and put on new tires.The car has also received a complete tune-up with new plugs, wires, cap, rotorand air filter. The car started on the first attempt and runs excellent. Itgoes through all the gears well and has plenty of power. The original “Medium Jade”paint is in good shape and shines well, it does have some chips along therocker panels from traveling down gravel roads and some nicks and scrapes frombeing 38 years old. This is a beautifuland rare color that was only offered for one year. The green plaid seats are ablast from the past and are in like new condition. The deep pile carpet showsvery minimal wear, the dash has no cracks and the headliner is perfect. All ofthe gauges and electronics work as they should including the original AM/FMradio and rear defroster. The glass and brightwork is in like new condition with no chips ornicks. This car would be great for a collector of for someone who wants todrive it every day. I have included photos from the barn where I found it andsome from now. The car is advertised locally so the auction could end early.
