UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1975 TRIUMPH TR-7 COUP. FIRST YEAR OF THE TR7.
VIN NUMBER ACL2663UENGINE IS A 231 BUICK 3.8L 231.CI
TRANS IS A REBUILT 200 4R WITH SHIFT KIT AND A GRAND NATIONAL TORQUE CONVERTOR WITH NO OVERDRIVE CLUTCHES. SO RUNNING A STRAIGHT 4 SPEED. TORQUE CONVERTOR CUSTOM BUILT BY PRECISION.REAR END IS A COMPLETE REAR END FROM A 1980 TR8 INCLUDING AXELS AND LARGER DRUM BRAKES.DASHBOARD IS A DAKOTA DIGITAL DASH WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTYREAR BRAKES WERE RECENTLY OVERHAULED. NEW BRAKE SHOES ALL NEW SPRINGS AND RETAINERS NEW SLAVE CYLINDERS AND NEW BRAKE FLEX LINE.ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY OVERHAULED JULY 2011. BORED .70 OVER AND ALL CUSTOM PARTS USED. NO CORNERS CUT ON PARTS. I ADDED THE PARTS LIST TO THE PICTURES BUT IT IS HARD TO READ.WHEN THE ENGINE WAS REBUILT I REPLACED THE AC COMPRESSOR THE ALTERNATOR AND THE STARTER WITH NEW FROM ADVANCE AND ORILEY\'S.AC WORKS BUT LEAKS DOWN AFTER 2 MONTHS. HAVE NOT FOUND THE LEAK YET.CAR WAS MODIFIED AND PAINTED IN 2006 WITH SPOILER ADDED AND POP UP HEADLIGHTS REMOVED AND FIXED HEAD LIGHT BUILT IN. HEADLIGHTS ARE FROM A 91 CAMARO AND THE BUCKETS WERE FABRICATED FROM METAL. NO BONDO USED.
I ADDED 2 PICTURES OF THE CAR FROM THE REPAINT. IN 2006.IN FEB 2017 REPLACED THE STEERING RACK WITH A NEW ONE FROM MOSS MOTORS. REPLACED THE TIE ROD ENDS AND DID A FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT. SINCE THE ENGINE REBUILD HAVE CHANGED THE OIL RELIGIOUSLY AT 2500 MILES WITH MOBIL ONE FULL SYNTHETIC OIL.THE REAR SHOCKS AND THE FRONT STRUTS WERE CHANGED OUT WITH NEW. I KNOW THE REAR SHOCKS ARE MONROE FROM SUMMIT RACING AND THE STRUTS WERE EITHER MOSS OR VICTORIA BRITISH.I HAVE PICTURES OF BOTH THE ENGINE REBUILD AND THE REPAINT AND CUSTOM WORK ON THE CAR AND WILL BE HAPPY TO E-MAIL THEM.I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN 2001 IN TENNESSEE AND HAVE MADE IMPROVEMENTS ALMOST EVERY YEAR. I AM 72 YEARS OLD AND AND HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR 16 YEARS AND I NEED TO GET SOMETHING MORE COMFORTABLE.I FAILED TO MENTION THE TIRES AND RIMS. THE RIMS ARE ROTA RIMS. LOOK SIMILAR TO PANASPORT. THE RIMS WERE PURCHASED FROM WOODY AT THE WEDGE SHOP. OUTER RIMS ARE POLISHED ALUMINUM AND THE SPOKES ARE SMOKE GRAY. TIRES ARE KUHMO ECSTA HIGH PERFORMANCE 205 50 R15. THE REAR TIRES HAVE 6000 MILES AND THE TWO FRONT TIRES ARE NEW. THEY WERE REPLACED WHEN THE STEERING RACK WAS REPLACED IN FEB 2017.WHEN THE ENGINE REBUILD WAS DONE IN 2011 THE CAR HAD 22,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER.
