Good driving car. It is, however, a light project and not upscale show-ready. Nice saddle tan interior with no seat tears. Body needs some patches and paint. New Firestone tires and black Rally II's. The original Pontiac XN code 400 engine runs strong with 50+ lbs. of oil pressure. It needs the carb cleaned or rebuilt from sitting so long. The Quadrajet carb flows good unless you hit the gas pedal hard; then it "stumbles" instead of a steadily increasing speed. Head codes are E243. Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Numbers-matching 400 4-bbl with a light cam, cutout snorkels and a true dual snorkel air intake cleaner. Under 81,000 miles. Interior is good. Frame is solid. 3.42 posi rear. I have many more pics of the car. Floors are solid. The trunk pan has two very small (dime-size) holes (pictured). The tailpan is solid. The rear quarters need lower patches (pictured). The fenders are good- one has some small bubbling (pictured) behind the tire. The door panels are good, as is the carpet. The console isn't burned or cracked. The dash is cracked. Most of the sheet metal is good. The former show-paint shows its 80's age. The car is licensed and insured, and is occasionally driven to local shows, so the miles may go up very slightly. It drives tight and it runs, shifts and stops fine, with the exception of the carburetor stumble at hard acceleration. The transmission front seal leaks after the car sets undriven for awhile. The window glass is all good. Originally an A/C car, but the compressor is gone. This car is functional and fun to drive, but the driver side window has now stopped rolling down. The crank may have come off inside the door panel. The headlight. taillights and signals all work. Door sills are solid, as are the door jambs. There are a very, very few slight bubbles on the car. I will go over the car in great detail with anyone who wants to contact me for any information. I checked past 1973 Formulas that have listed and/or sold, and I have set the reserve on this numbers-matching car at a lower price- I need to sell a couple of our cars to finish my other one. This car is not a rust-bucket by any means, and it has a good powertrain/drivetrain front to back. The rear end was inspected back in the spring to ensure dependability, and while it was open for inspection there was a posi unit installed. I believe the buyer will be very happy with the overall condition of this 44 year-old classic. Please ask any questions. It will need quarter patch panels; the other little places are all minor and can be repaired in my opinion.
The buyer must arrange pickup/transport. I will assist locally. The car is located in western Kentucky- zip code 42082.
This is my first time to list a car, so if I have forgotten/omitted something- feel free to ask me.

By request, I have lowered the reserve as well as the Buy It Now prices to more than cover the cost of a transmission seal. When the car sits for a while, the seal starts leaking (as noted in the ad). The turbo transmission was inspected and adjusted with new fluid and gaskets just a few months ago, and the seal started leaking after that was done when it sits.
