With only one day left, I have reduced the price slightly, just to get it out there again. Once the listing is over this vehicle will not be for sale, and will not be listed for a second time, or at a lower price. To me it is simply worth more to me than I am offering it at. The vehicle also remains listed for sale locally, and thisposting may be withdrawn if sold through other means.

This is an original street survivor that has not undergonerestoration. Prior to owning it, the vehicle was in a collection & storedfor nearly 20 years. As best as I could piece the history together, the vehiclewas first titled and operated in Virginia, up until the 1980’s. It was thenpurchased by a collector in PA, and underwent some minor touchup. It was later titled in PA in 1992 when the collector considered selling some of his vehicles. The paint andcolor scheme match the Plymouth Brochures from 1972. This is an all original, numbers matching time capsule, and remains the original black over silver, withthe white vinyl roof. The cloth / high back split bench interior option is believedto be one of the least common options, and it even retains the original faux wirewheel hubcaps. The vehicle has remained sheltered and not seen snow, orsalt throughoutits entire existence. This vehicle has had no significant body work done to date, only paint touch up. Ithas been brought out to cruise around town or take to a local show only two orthree times per year, and has not been moved from storage as of yet this year.

This car is not perfect, it was used by someone as a family vehicle duringits first 10 years or so of existence in the state of Virginia, and as such, isa street survivor. I would place her general scoreclose to9,from 1 to 10. The fully complete trim molding has some minor scuffs and dings, but still in very good shape for being over 45 years old. With that said, this car has also placed in competitions against otherMopars from the same period. The appeal comes from having yet to be restored, or modified. The only replacements to date were the muffler, tires, fuel pump, new carpeting (OEM) due to fading, and a new dash cap was applied.

The vehicle isvirtually rust free throughout, straight, and solid, including the floor and trunk, with no significant body repairsidentified or needed.

I was able to recover the original build sheet from beneaththe rear seat, which supports that the vehicle isall original, and is even anidentical match for theblack over silver center fold rendering found in the brocurespublished for Plymouth.

I began collecting restoration parts, and will include a newvinyl top, dash cap, hood insulation blanket, ignition parts, transmissionfilter kit(s) and other items. I never wanted to lose her all original appeal,so I collected restoration parts, but never installed them. Also included aremultiple vintage sales pamphlets, and an unused (Ronco) Pocket Fisherman in theoriginal box that indicates the year of manufacture as 1972 (just an odd bonusto the other vehicle related items).

General information:

*Original 318, two bbl Cartercarbureted, auto with column shifter, 727 transmission.

*Special option interiorCloth / Split bench cloth interior with armrest and bucket style high backs.

*Front disc brakes (last year that these were an option, included in 1973 andlater models).

*Sport / rally instrument panel like that found on a Road Runner.Operating A/C, which would need a recharge.

*Sport – chrome mirror package. Theunderbody is nearly perfect, and undercoating is believed to have been appliedat the dealership upon original purchase, not a spray can application.

*Hood pins were originally ordered on this vehicle, then the build sheet indicated they were a factory delete. Hood pins were later added, to enhance appearance.

*When checking the floor, and replacing the carpet, I was surprised to find factory installed grommets / cover plates for installation of a roll cage built into the floor.

*Thewheel wells and fenders show the original metal flange, no putty, or drillmarks from the addition of mud flaps.

Current Issues – I am attempting to describe the vehicle asthoroughly as possible. No games here, and the only known issues are minor flaws that reflectits age.

*The tail light lenses show their age, with minor cracks andhazing, no broken pieces.

* The windshield washer reservoir needs replaced, thecurrent one has become brittle and cracked due to aging and heat from under thehood.

* A small area of the vinyl roof appears to have a differenttexture, it was starting to loosen at the edge, and when glued down, the vinylappeared to have a flatter texture. This simply aged, and loosened, no rust found beneath.

* The fabric on the driver’s side of the front seat has an area that isgetting very thin, and showing age. (No large gaping tears).

* The bottom (rear) of the driver’s side front fender needspounded out. There is ZERO putty on the vehicle except for what is common during production. I was required to drive thecar over rough gravel at a car show which later caused a tire to blow out, & rubber stuck the lower portion of the fender, slightly bendingit. It simply needs pounded out and touched up. The turn signal indicatorlights needs reinstalled within the housing.

*The AC / Heat controls will need cleaned or lubed tooperate smoothly. There has simply been no need to use them.

*Under the hood could use some freshening up, as the paintis solid, but dull in appearance. The vehicle has not been on the road this year, so a complete fluidchange / and check would be suggested before operation. I believe this carcould be driven nearly anywhere once the fluids, belts and hoses were attendedto.

There were three issuesat the time that I had this vehicle titled. This will not affect the ability to transfer, but, I wanted to point them out, as I had a difficult time with a representative of PA DOT. The original Virginia title was signed over to the collector, and read that the vehicle had 31K miles on it. At the time I purchased it, it had only 35 more miles, as it had been in storage. The title indicates that it was titled in VA until 1992. I was in a rush to get the car on the road, after looking at it for six years before being able to buy it. A representative with the PA DMV took issue with the mileage, simply due to the vehicles age, and argued that it had to be 132K. The second is that anyone who knows these vehicles knows that the roadrunner was titled as a two door coupe, the satellite counterpart was titled a two door hardtop. Since PA does not list a "hard top" on titles, they listed it a sedan (which it obviously is not a four door). They even misspelled my name, not once, but twice.Attempting to correct these mattersof this held up my ability to show and enjoy my car at the time. As such, I did not contest it further, as I never anticipated I would sell it, and wanted it ready for an approaching car show. A copy of the original VA title may be attainable, if this matter were a larger issue. This car currently has just over 36,000 original miles, as I have put only 300 or so miles on it per year. Viewing the body of this vehicle should revel the truth, as a mechanic pointed out to me that the chalk mark in the trunk was common during production, and that he thought the front brake pads were also still original. I simply never thought I would consider selling it, so changes at the time were more of a formality, but my financial position has changed.
