Rocket 350 motor with 4bbl carb, turbo 350 transmission, with dual exhaust. The olds runs and drives well. Lots of recent maintenance completed. This is a turn key car. Hop in it and go. It\'s ready for summer. New plates installed and tabs are good until February 2018. Clear Washington state title.
Factory options include front power disc brakes, power steering, super stock 2 rally wheels (with a 5th rally in the trunk), bucket seats with center console shifter, power driver\'s seat, sport mirrors, rear window defrost, convenience lighting group, soft ray tinted glass, and deluxe door edge moldings. The only thing not correct is the sunroof that was installed long ago. The sunroof is nice, but it\'s not original to the olds.
Factory triple white car. Cameo white paint (code 11) with white vinyl (code A) top and white bucket seat interior (Trim code 977 and A51). The cutlass was repainted white in the past. The vinyl top was recently removed to repair some rust issues under the top which is very typical on the notch back cutlass supremes. The rust has been fixed and it has been sealed with epoxy paint. The roof is ready for a new vinyl top. All the window/vinyl top stainless trim is in the trunk and ready to be put on after a new top is installed.
The interior is all original but showing its age. The front seats have covers because the original seat vinyl is coming apart. The rear seat seams are also beginning to let go. The headliner was removed. The carpets are in surprisingly good shape despite their age. The power seat still works. The shifter/console is in very nice condition. All the windows roll up and down. No cracks in the front windshield. Dash lights work. Gauges work.
The body is very solid. The bottom side of the car looks great. The floor pans have no rust issues. There is some scaly rust in the trunk from where the vinyl top was leaking into the trunk. Again that issue has been fixed. The paint is pretty good, but certainly not perfect. I\'m not certain how long ago the car was repainted.
The cutlass starts right up and runs well. No smoke. No engine noise. Compression tested the motor and it is even across all 8 cylinders. The transmission has nice, positive shifts. The olds cruises down the road great especially for its age. Unsure if the motor or transmission are original to the car.
Recent maintenance includes a new radiator, water pump, thermostat, and radiator cap. New plugs, plug wires, and distributor cap. Just changed the oil including a new oil filter. New fuel filter, fuel lines, air filter, and rebuilt the original rochester quadrajet carb (7042250 model carb). New belts. New front shocks, rotors, calipers, pads, rubber fuel lines, and master cylinder.
The tires are older, but all 4 match with about 50% tread life remaining.
The heater works well. The wipers work. headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and front/rear parking lights all work.
The olds is by no means perfect or a show car, but it is a solid turn-key cruiser that\'s ready for summer. With a new vinyl top it will be very sharp!
