1970 Trans Am Ram Air III matching numbers H.O. WS 400 345 HP motor(L74) with factory 4 speed and special performance option 12 bolt rear end with 3:73 gears (Only available with 4 speed/non-AC cars)
1 of 1769 4 speed Ram Air III cars made. 39,900 original documented miles. PHS documented providing authenticity. I am the second private owner. “George” owned the car from 1972-2015 where it remained in Canada. Car was invoiced/shipped to GM of Canada on 4-1-1970 where it remained as a test mule car until 1972 were it received the majority of the 39K miles.. According to George, prior to 1972 the radio, spare tire and jack were removed. It also had a prototype manual sun roof installed at GM. I have no documentation to support this installation. It works great and does not leak. George was friends with a GM engineer and that’s how he was able to purchase car.
Recent upgrades in 2017 for safety/drivability include:

-Original shocks replaced
-Complete 4-wheel brake job (Retains original master cylinder)
-Original open face alternator rebuilt
- New radial tires with alignment (Retains all original suspension)
- Original Rallye wheels restored in correct colors. New center caps and lugs
- New Stage 2 Quad jet carb/fuel pump (Originals Needs rebuilt)
- Complete tune-up, belts, hoses, all fluids, radiator flush with new water pump
- Correct dual exhaust with transverse muffler (Retains original exhaust tips)
- New carpet

Car is tight and handles/performs very well as you would expect from a TA. Shifts smooth thru all gears. Motor runs very strong with no leaks, smoke or odd noises. All lights, gauges, horn, heater etc. work as they should including clock and rare rear defroster. One repaint in 2012 in correct Polar White. Believed to be original sheet metal. Not many of the 1769 Ram Air III cars made remain in this un-restored condition. Priced to sell and is not negotiable. Best deal you will find on a Ram Air III car currently on the market. No trades.
