I\'m selling my very rare 1970 Mercury Marauder X100 429 automatic 96,000 original miles. 1 owner car. It\'s 1 of 2646 made in 1970. All numbers matching survivor. This one was special ordered without the black on the trunk. Was just purchased from the original that bought it new. Was sitting in an heated garage for the last 26 years. Was parked due to needing a new timing chain. I purchased the car and installed a new double roller timing chain and gears. Also installed were a new water pump, new fuel pump, new alternator, new thermostat, new lower radiator hose, and new belts. The car now runs good and yard drives with some brakes. Will need brake work. I have saved all the original parts that still have the Ford part numbers. The body of the car is nice but does have some rust around the rear wheel lips and wheel tubs. I haveNOS Ford wheel tubes that the original owner purchased from Ford along with some other NOS parts for this car. The underside of the car is in great shape other than one frame rail behind the driver side rear lower control arm. [Shown in pics] Needs a small patch. Floor pans are amazing. There is also one spot in the trunk shown in pics. Other than that its in great shape as far as I can tell. Thesteering gear box leaks from sitting but that\'s all I saw for leaks. The interior is beautiful except for the ripped driver seat and a small hole in the headliner. The am-fm radio works great. As do all lights andturn signals. The retractable headlights work great as well. Over all this is truly a raregreat survivor original owner car that doesn\'t come along very often. So don\'t miss out on this great luxury muscle car. All the components are original numbers matching. Even the carpet and factory Mercury floor mats are vin great shape. I am selling this car as is with no warranties!! The spot that is rusted by rear humps looks worse in pics than in person. I believe it is a fairly simple fix. All you would have to do is take 2 bolts out for the lower control arm and its very accessible. I would\'ve fixed it before I tried to sell it but I didn\'t want people thinking I was hiding something. Could be driven the way it is.
