Overall this car is in exceptional original condition and is a perfect example of a rare classic HEMI Road Runner.This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner HEMI is iconic and extremely desirable by collectors everywhere. Built as a Sleeper - intended to lull the competition into a false sense of security - the car looks pretty tame but houses a beast under the hood. She is powered by her numbers matching drive train including her 426-2x4V HEMI V-8 Engine coupled to her Heavy Duty 3 Speed Automatic transmission. Purchased by a buyer up north, the car was shipped to Massachusetts and has changed hands once since arriving here. The second owner bought the car with 382 miles on the odometer; the third and current owner bought the car from his estate with 1180 miles on it and drove the other 170 miles,. Since then the car has been stored. In 1969, only 788 HEMI\'s were put in Road Runners and of those only 13 were built in this configuration. It is estimated that almost 80% of those cars have CE blocks which this car does not. After sitting for so long, the engine and transmission were refreshed and the radiator was replaced. At some point in the early days the rear end was converted to a 410 but we have the original gearing. The rear wheels are custom, wide wheels for grip but we have the original rims also. This car is looking for a new home and will definitely put a smile on its new owners face!
