  • 1968 Pontiac Le Mans convertible. 350CI engine with automatic transmission, A/C, PS, PB, Power seat and power top.

I bought this car from an 83 year old gentleman about a year ago. He said his wife that had passed away 8 years ago was the original owner.
Essentially it is a 1 owner car that was garge kept its entire life. The title work is clear and was in his name.
This car has never been disassembled or restored. The body is very solid and original including all GM sheet metal, bumpers, grills, T3 headlights, emblems, door handles, mirror and so on. It has had minor rust repair in the typical areas of the lower front fenders and lower rear quarters with 1 repaint many years ago (25+). There is no visible rust and the paint is a nice 10 footer. Paint has a few minor chips and scratches but it shows good and has a nice shine. The floors are solid, all original and in good condition.
The interior is completely original down to the carpet. Drivers seat is in amazing condition considering that it doesn\'t have a tear or even a split in it. Original dash pad is in excellent condition with no cracks. The original build sheet / punch card is still under the rear seat. The interior is in excellent original condition for a 50 year old car and is uniform in age.
The entire car is very original and I consider it a \"survivor\" type car.
The engine and drivetrain is completely stock and is believed to be numbers matching. The engine code on the front of the block is YN, 1968 350 / 265 HP with 2 barrel carburetor and automatic transmission. As most Pontiac people know the VIN number is behind the lower radiator hose on the block. I can remove the lower hose and check if you need. I feel the engine compartment is all original paint, including the engine. I have not done anything under the hood or to the drivetrain.
The convertible top canvas was replaced about 12 years ago and is in great condition. The power top works as it should and is covered by the original boot.
Car runs and drives great but it is 50 years old and does have 131,404 miles on it.The AC is not currently working but is complete and present. Clock and original radio do not work. Everything else seems to work as it should.
I have the original 14 inch wheels with original Pontiac hub caps and a nice set of whitewall radial tires that go with the car. I can keep the aftermarket wheels if you do not want them at a cost savings of $900.00. I bought them used as you see them.
I am a Kansas dealer that owns a few cars. My family has grown attatched to this car for weekend cruising but I must sell it. I am also the owner of a GM restoration shop here in KC that has been in business for over 25 years with a very good reputation. I know classic cars and how much they cost to restore. This car can be enjoyed without a costly restoration and be a secure investment for many years to come. I can do any work you would like done after the transaction of the sale at normal hourly shop rate. Email with questions and thanks for looking.https://youtu.be/lz_hrDzODDc City drive
