*1966 BUICK RIVIERA ORIGINAL GS*

**DUAL QUAD SUPER WILDCAT**

***425 NAILHEAD ENGINE***

Buick advertised the 1966 \"Super Wildcat\" dual quad Riviera as flexing 360horse power in contrast to the standard 340 hp. Specific vehicle history begins in Flint Michigan, week 4 of January 1966beingproduced in the GM factory and then sold at a Washington State dealership. It was later restored and engine rebuilt by a speed shop in Lynwood, WA.Of the 45,348 Buick Rivieras produced in 1966, only 4,837 had the GS package (heavy-duty suspension, PY code performance axle 3.42 ratio with positive traction, sportier transmission, chrome air cleaner, aluminum valve covers, and GS badging). The L Code “Shadow Turquoise” is not only one of the years most excellent paint color, it is also extremely rare with only 1372 (3.03% of run) produced. Very few are still around in operation today with this magnificent factory color. The exterior is complimented in combination with black “Strato” bucket seats and desirable aviation inspired horseshoe shifter console. The interior sports an elegant “wood” custom steering wheel in excellent condition, installed in 4,171 (9.2%)Rivieras produced in 1966. The horn bar is original and not a reproduction.Becausethis vehicle has no vinyl top, it shows offthe stunningrear fastback slopingdesignand does not come with thepotentialrustissuesa covered top brings. Crowning this muscular luxury vehicle is the infamous Super Wildcat dual-quad-barrel setup, which brings serious get-up-and-go with boosted horse power.
