Up for sale is this extremely rare 1965 Corvair "Corsa" Convertible model. Only made for 2 years, the Corsa had 4 carbs and a strong 6 cylinder engine. Horse Power was an amazing 140, not far behind the Porsche 911. This car has had the 4 carbs removed and a special kit with 4 barrel carb and special intakes were installed giving the car approximately 160 HP. A prior restoration was done approximately 20 years ago, which included new top, new interior/carpet, new paint, and engine tuning. This included replacing the 4 carbs with single 4 barrel carb kit (The engine has a manifold kit which consists of four manifold tubes (two to each bank) and a new (central) 4 barrel Carb and new air cleaner). Engine has fresh oil in it, and does not leak. The car has been sitting in the garage the past 5 years, and was outside some in the years prior. Thus, there are some rust spots which will need repairing to make this a show-car. The engine is free, and has had Marvel Mystery Oil soaking in the cylinders during the past 5 years. The engine does turn over, but has not been started. The brakes are not working, but new brake kits are included. Also included is a brand new Edelbrock 4 barrel carb with new chrome air cannister, and other new parts. An original 1965 Corsa Shop Manual and other magazines/documents are included. All Ignition wiring and spark plugs have been replaced, and new wheel cylinders and Master Cylinder is included.There is a boot that covers the convertible top when it is folded in the down position. The seats are in new condition with no rips or tears. A car cover is included. Battery (quality 8 yr cycle type) was purchased a couple years ago, and was regularly trickle charged. Tires have plenty of thread, but probably should be replaced due to their age.This Convertible version of the Corsa is very rare, and would make a great restoration project for any collector.
Buyer must arrange to have this car shipped, and trucker must contact seller at least 1 day in advance of pick-up, and pick-up must be during normal day hours (8AM - 8PM).
