We have for sale a 1963 Studebaker Avanti. This car isfactory supercharged R2 4 speed car, gold in paint and Faun interior. It is alate ’63 car so it has the woodgrain steering wheel and gauge and switchpanels. It was also optioned with power steering and power front disk brakes. This car was sold new here in New Mexico and it has stayed here ever since sothe frame and hog troughs are rust free. The car had the windows broken out ofit years ago so the interior needs completely redone but it is complete. Thecar comes with an OE complete set of glass and all OE gauges in nice shapeexcept the speedometer. The car retains the original short block, transmissionand rear end. The whole top end was removed and sold off the car years ago. Wehave a complete blower set up with everything required, including carb, thatwas removed off a running R2 car that was switched to AC. We also have a 4bblintake manifold and chrome valve covers. But we are missing the cylinder headsand valve train. We also have very nice OE dashboard included with the car. Thedrivers fender is broken but we have patch panel off of another car to fix it. Wealso spent the past year buying miscellaneous trim and interior parts to makethe car more complete. The car has brand new 15x6” keystones with new tires allthe way around. The factory steel wheels and hubcaps will be included with thesale. If the buyer does not want the keystones, we’ll take $500 off of the saleprice and put used tires on the steel wheels so it can be moved easily. The caris definitely a project, but they made only 1500 R2 cars in 1963, and the valueis climbing, restored cars can bring well over $50,000. We found the gentlemanwho bought the car in 1966 and owned the car through the mid 1980s, when itended up in the Studebaker junk yard that we found it in. This gentleman hadgotten a replacement title in 1972 that he still had and was nice enough togive to us, the license plate on the car matches said title and the lastregistration was in 1974. We have new issued title in our name.

It is also listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please remember, if you bid on the Avanti, you are entering a BINDING contract to buy it if you win the auction.
