For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a 1963 Pontiac Catalina Convertible. 1963, a gallon of gas was just 29 cents and the average house was a little over 12,000 dollars. Big cruiser convertibles were a sign of luxury and they couldn\'t be more fun to drive. The Pontiac Catalina was amongst the top of the list. Catalina sales stayed strong in 1963. The bodies were redesigned with clean square shapes and vertically stacked headlights. Engines ranged from 389-cid to 421-cid V8s. This Catalina boasts a strong running, numbers matching, 389 CID V8 engine backed by the original automatic transmission. Not too many convertibles were optioned with AC but this one does! Options include: AC, AM radio, automatic convertible top, hub caps, power brakes, power steering, seat belts, vinyl interior, and white wall radial tires. The exterior was painted just 10 years prior in a clear coat white which looks great given the gold vinyl interior. The automatic transmission was rebuilt just 250 miles ago and shifts great!
