Offered at No Reserve andfeaturedhere is a very clean and complete, running 1963 Buick Riviera. The BuickRiviera was GM’s response to the popular Ford Thunderbird. Instantly recognizedas a design classic, the original Riviera was Motor Trend magazine's1963 Car of the Year. The svelte 117-inch wheelbase personal luxury coupe was apet project of GM styling head William L. Mitchell.

This particular car hasbeen in storage for nearly 30 years and came from the arid and dry climate ofArizona. This car runs and drives very well. It has great potential for arestoration, be it rolling resto,(drive it while you restore it) or a full onrefurb to her once luxurious glory. The car has excellent bones for a niceresto-mod or custom cruiser.

These carshave great investment potential as well due to their place in luxury automobiles history. You could eaily get it repainted and restore the interior , enjoy and drivethis car and easily recapture your investment and maybe even make a littlemoney as well as indicated by the Hagerty Value guide for these cars.. are the details:

Body/Paint: Overall as you lookat the photos you can the car is relatively clean rust wise with the worst rust area onthe lower passenger rear quarter panel. The floors and trunk are very solid. Thepanels are straight and should make for an easy restoration.

Chrome/Stainless: I have all the stainless trim for the body and it is in nice shape requiring only light polish and restoration. The car also includes a re-chromed rear bumper.

Frame: Solid with no rust or signs ofcollision repair as shown in the photos

Engine: The factory 401 V8 it starts with noissue. As you see from the photos the engine compartment is relativelyunmolested and in original condition. The fuel system has been flushed and themotor runs and idles well. There is no smoke on start up or while driving. Itdoes have a intermittent lifter tick though when cold. The more we have driventhe car, the better it runs and the tick has lessenned.

Exhaust: The exhaust iscomplete but the muffler is rusted where the pipes come into the muffler body

Transmission: Factory originalautomatic, fluid is clean and clear. There is some seepage around the pangasket and it shifts well, however it is a little sluggish when cold. Much likethe motor, it operates better and betterthe more laps we put on it going around theblock. Operation is firm and it works as designed once it is warmed up a little.

Interior: The factory originalwhite interior looks complete, with greatupholstery free of any rips or tears just needs some cleaning and a goodshampoo to really look nice. There is no the carpet and the door panel carpet needs to be repaired, however the headliner is in very good condition. It still has the factory AM radioin place and features, tilt steering, power steering and power brakes.

Air Conditioning/Heater: A/C does not blow cold, but the heat works. Air compressor is free and is not froze up. All hosesand the complete system is sealed and intact, including the A/C belt is still in place, when is the last time you saw that? My guess is A/C worked when parked.

Brakes: Power brakes with large aluminumfinned drummed brakes on all corners. The brakes have been recently serviced with new wheel cylinders andfunction as designed.

Suspension: Complete withfactory equipped front and rear stabilizer/roll bars and factory power steering.

Tires/Wheels: Previous ownerplaced some decent rollers, tires that are of the same size (but not samebrand) that hold air go down the road wellwhich aremounted on factory 15 X 7 steelwheels with factory wheel covers. Summary these tires probably should bereplaced before any serious driving.

These cars havea solid following and are climbing in popularity. This car should not take muchto get looking like new again. It is a great candidate for the hobbyist on abudget but has the basic skills to build some sweat equity in it as a rollingrestoration. A great handyman’s special you can fix up and recoup yourinvestment at resale.

Pleaseinspect the pictures and ask questions. I have tried to describe this car iscarefully as possible but understand the vehicle is sold as pictured, as is,with no warranty, implied or otherwise.
