1959 Plymouth Savoy....UN-RESTORED SURVIVOR!!! This beautiful car as you see it has had NO RESTORATION. IT IS ORIGINAL AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY IN 1959. Two exceptions: 1) The left front fender HAS been repainted due to a fender bender decades ago. 2) The passenger side rocker panel also had some damage and was repaired many years ago. Otherwise, the rest of the car is COMPLETELY UNRESTORED AND IS THE ORIGINAL PAINT!!
The interior: NEARLY PERFECT. UNRESTORED AS IT LEFT THE FACTORY IN 1959. One rip on a seam on the driver\'s part of the seat. The colors of the fabric has not faded over the years. The vinyl surrounding the seats are still soft to the touch and not brittle. The door panels are exceptional. Still colorful and un-faded. The floor is rubber no rips or tears, they look great!! The dash is stunning. Guages and chrome areas, glass and surfaces are nearly perfect! It\'s obvious this car has always been garaged and not out in the sun. The headliner is in good shape, it\'s a cloth material that has discolored as you can see in the picture. Rust issues: Very minor. The pictures of the underside are a true representation of the entire underside of the car. I\'d call it \"normal\" corrosion, the floors are solid and had been undercoated when new apparently. The trunk floor is very solid with one small area, a seam that needs repair as seen in the picture near the spare tire.
It\'s NOT perfect like a frame off restored car would be. Survivor status means it\'s mostly un-restored showing the car in un-restored state. DO NOT expect a perfect car. The next owner could take this beautiful car to the next stage or just leave it alone. Ive done my best to honestly describe this car. Any questions I\'d encourage a personal inspection or give me a phone call. Phone calls work best, I don\'t always check emails. But more about the car.......The flat-head 6 starts instantly and runs and idles very well. The two-speed push button. PowerFlite works as it should. All guages work and the car runs nice and cool down the road. There are 42,345 miles on it at this point, but that will go up as it\'s taken to car local car shows. It\'s for sale locally and there has been a lot of interest. If it gets sold, I will end the auction. All the lights work as they should. even the back up lights! The chrome on the bumpers are excellent. Take a close look at that beautiful grill!!! The car has not had any rust repair including the \"eyebrows\" above the headlights. Solid and excellent! The side trim does have a few dings but very minor. The only pitting that I see is around the tail lights and it\'s very minor!!
This is a Savoy, someone ordered LOTS of options when it was new. Coker wide whites in good shape.
