Vehicle Description: 1948 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster Pick Up TruckTOTAL BODY OFF RESTORATIONLAS VEGASWe are proud to offer this stunning 1948 Chevrolet 3100 Thriftmaster Pick Up. It has undergone a complete body off, nut & bolt restoration and is in pristine condition inside and out.The restoration was a long term project and was recently completed. It has been driven less than 100 miles since. The body was removed from the frame and completely disassembled. The panels and frame were stripped to bare metal and painted. All glass, chrome, weatherstripping were replaced with all new components. The bed floor is new with stainless steel strips. It’s finished in a gorgeous dark barn red stain top & bottom.The engine has been rebuilt and runs excellent. The new radiator has been upgraded to aluminum. All belts and hoses are new. It has complete new wiring harness front to back. The generator was rebuilt and has a new battery & box. The dash gauges are all new and still uses its stock 6V system. It has all new brakes. It has new Coker wide whites on red steel wheels with new Chevrolet chrome caps & trim rings.The interior is has a stock blood red seat upholstery and black rubber mat. The seat has all new foam. The door panels and headliner are new. The steering wheel, center cap and dash trim all also new. The truck is absolutely, drop dead gorgeous in every way! Ten of thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours have been invested in it restoration.You know it won’t be cheap but I have set a very realistic reserve. Classic & Collectible Cars was established in 1982 in North Las Vegas by Larry Nicholl. Larry had recently retired after 22 years of military service in the US Air Force. Along with his four sons, he specialized in sale of classic Mustang parts, restoration and the sale of collector cars. This business grew and relocated to Las Vegas and became the most recognized and respected Mustang shop in Southern Nevada. In 1986, Larry sold the Mustang parts and restoration end of the business and began to focus primarily in the sales and appraising of all types of classic and special interest automobiles. He built a facility on Arville Street near Tropicana, to house the newly directed Classic & Collectible Cars. He continued to operate in this facility for several years until its sale of the building in the mid 1990s. By this time, his sons had left the business to pursue other interests and the shop had shrunk to a manageable, one man operation. In 1997, Michael Nicholl proposed to take over the business and resurrect the Classic & Collectible Cars name. The focus would be same – to buy, sell and appraise classic and special interest automobiles. At the time, the internet was an emerging marketplace. Michael saw the opportunity to begin to market and sell collector cars in a new way. With an established reputation, Classic & Collectible Cars grew quickly.
Today, Classic & Collectible Cars maintains a 25-30 car inventory and has enjoyed good sales even through today’s challenging times. We are proud to announce that we purchased our new Sirius Avenue location in 2013. It is has been completely renovated.
